GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Chainflex Team Leader is responsible for coordinating department work activities, training/coaching department employees, monitor the order status of each job through the production process and assisting where needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, direct and coordinate the assemblies/orders for employees within the department, to ensure the orders are shipping on time in a productive manner
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
• Ensure employees are working to the standards that have been established
• Provide employees with assistance in performing difficult or complicated orders
• Any additional duties, as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Manual dexterity and good eyesight are required for inspecting orders
• Possible bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds is required
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, customers and visitors

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven work experience as team leader preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques required
• Previous computer experience
• Reliable attendance record
• Availability and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
